About ME

Photography happens here as a natural response to life unfolding. The camera becomes a way of pointing to what already is - the play of light across a room, the texture of well-worn objects, the fleeting expressions that cross strangers' faces. These moments aren't captured so much as they reveal themselves.

There's a profound simplicity in allowing images to emerge without a photographer trying to control or construct them (is control even possible?). The practice becomes one of pure presence, of being with what appears without any need to change or direct it.

As William Morris observed, "The true secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all the details of daily life." This genuine interest naturally expresses itself through the lens, particularly during bicycle rides through urban landscapes where pauses happen and surroundings come into focus.

In a world that often feels cluttered and chaotic, these images arise as invitations to stillness and presence. They aren't "pretty pictures" taken by someone, but rather moments of reality seeing itself, offering glimpses of the extraordinary within the ordinary.

This practice points to a different way of seeing and being - one where there's no separate observer and observed, just the seamless flow of experience. When we drop our usual rushing and doing, beauty naturally reveals itself, and with it comes an effortless sense of connection and appreciation.

Whether you're here to explore the gallery, contemplate this approach to seeing, or simply rest in a moment of stillness, your presence here is part of this unfolding.
